How I Got Here
I didn't take the traditional path
I was incarcerated four times before I was seventeen years old. By forty-one, I held two master's degrees — Talent Development and Theology — along with three certifications
I built and ran a successful food and hospitality business. I served at the peak of military leadership. And I survived the kind of professional and personal crises that most leadership only read about.
The path from there to here was not a straight line. It went through graduate research, spiritual disruption, business closure, institutional betrayal, single motherhood, and the slow rebuilding of a self that had been performing for so long I'd forgotten which version was real.
That rebuild is what produced the framework.

Then I built the methodology so other people wouldn't have to figure it out alone.
I served seventeen years across military and law enforcement — fourteen in the Army, three as a police officer. I wore the uniform. I carried the badge. I sat in high-pressure briefing rooms where the cost of being wrong was measured in lives, not quarters.
In law enforcement, I served the City of Newport News — overseeing citywide traffic camera implementation and sitting on the board that established body camera policy for the entire department.
As a Master Culinary Trainer and Certified Army Instructor and Examiner, I have created Army learning systems to develop talent, I led teams of up to twenty soldiers across garrison and operational rotations while also leading a mentorship program. I managed supply chains across two brigades. I competed at the national level in Army culinary competitions.
From the outside, I was executing flawlessly.
On the inside, I was learning a dangerous lesson: institutions reward performance, but they ignore the person. I was code-switching. I was over-performing. I was surviving.
And what I eventually understood is that

That collapse is what most high-performing leaders are walking into right now without a name for it. Most leadership programs train the performance. Fewer train the person underneath it.
That gap is what produced this framework. I built the methodology I needed and didn't have.

Leadership is not just corporate.
It is how you carry yourself under pressure. It is how you mother. How you grieve. How you decide. How you stand at the threshold of who you were and who you're becoming.
Your story is not your obstacle. It is your strategy.
The very thing you've been hiding may be the thing that qualifies you to lead. The version of you the world rewarded for surviving is not always the version meant to lead what comes next.
Identity work is the unlock.
When you stop yielding to wrong narratives and start leading from your authentic edge — the one that came from your real life, not the polished version — your strategy carries weight no productivity hack can replicate.
Lives can be restored.
Not in metaphor. In real, measurable, structurally documented practice. That's the work. That's the table. That's what we're here to do.
